Lawrence, KS (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Sherron Collins recorded 22 points and four
assists, and the 15th-ranked Kansas Jayhawks continued to dominate in
conference play with a 70-53 win over Nebraska.
Collins went 8-of-12 from the field for Kansas (22-5, 11-1 Big 12), which has
won three straight and 11 of 12 overall. Cole Aldrich added 18 points and 12
rebounds, while Markieff Morris had six points and nine rebounds in the win.
The Jayhawks have now beaten the Cornhuskers 13 straight times and lead the
all-time series, 166-71.
Ade Dagunduro had a team-high 13 points for Nebraska (16-9, 6-6), who had won
four of their previous five. Steve Harley contributed 11 points, while Ryan
Anderson had 10 in the loss.
Down 5-4 early, Kansas ripped off 11 straight points to take control. Morris
accounted for five points during the stretch, and Aldrich's jumper made it
15-5 halfway through the period.
Nebraska answered with seven consecutive points to make it 15-12, but Kansas
responded with a 10-2 run to push the lead back to double-digits. Collins
contributed the final six points of the stretch for a 25-14 lead with 4:15 to
go.
The Jayhawks led, 34-23, at halftime.
Nebraska twice cut its deficit to six early in the second half, but Kansas had
an answer both times. Leading 38-32 with just under 17 minutes left, the
Jayhawks scored the next five points to go ahead by 11.
Collins' three with 10:42 left put Kansas ahead, 48-35, and the hosts cruised
from that point.

Kansas dominated the glass, outrebounding Nebraska, 46-24...The Jayhawks shot
47.4 percent overall from the field, while the Cornhuskers shot just 38.2
percent...Kansas improved to a dominant 16-1 at home, while Nebraska fell to
3-6 on the road.

Colts give the ‘D’ its due
The Indianapolis Colts know that winning the Super Bowl last season put a huge target on their backs, and they expect opponents to go all-out to knock them from the top of the mountain.

Both center Jeff Saturday and quarterback Peyton Manning gave New Orleans’ front four props, admitting keeping guys like Will Smithand Charles Grant contained would be a tall task for the offensive line.

Not so sound on the ground
